And yes, PlazaPalooza is back! From July 9 to 12, Plaza St-Hubert will host the fourth edition of its major summer event. Year after year, the event has become a Montreal summer staple, bringing together residents, visitors, merchants, and artists in a festive and welcoming atmosphere. Driven by a desire to showcase local culture and the vibrancy of the neighbourhood, PlazaPalooza continues to evolve while retaining its charm: a unifying celebration where discoveries, encounters, and memorable moments await.

4 vibes for 4 days

This year, PlazaPalooza is even more diverse! For four days, discover four unique atmospheres that will bring the Plaza to life with performances from numerous local artists. Whether you're a music lover, curious to discover new talent, or simply looking for a summer outing, there's something for everyone.

In addition to the shows, enjoy a host of activities throughout the weekend: community organization booths, entertainment for all ages, play areas, and much more. And don't forget the traditional Plaza sidewalk sale, the perfect opportunity to find great deals from your favorite vendors. Come celebrate summer, local culture, and the festive spirit of the Plaza in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere!

Thursday, July 9 - Rock

Musical Performances

3 p.m. to 4 p.m. - Alain Degaetano at the public piano
A simple, stripped-down performance highlighting the Plaza’s public piano and the talent of a local musician.

5 p.m. to 9 p.m. - CKUT presents: DJ The Most High, CHIDO1 and MADRiiNA
The Petite Scène hosts an eclectic series of performances curated by CKUT, showcasing the richness of Montreal’s music scene.

6 p.m. to 7 p.m. - DVTR
With their energetic and uncompromising punk-rock sound, the Montreal duo kicks off the evening on the Main Stage.

7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. - Alix Fernz
A flamboyant performance by this alternative artist that promises to impress.

9 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. - Annie-Claude Deschênes
The artist closes the evening with her intense and distinctive electro-rock universe.

Evening - DJ ASMA at Ausgang Plaza
The party continues after the shows with a DJ set presented in partnership with ICI Musique.

12 p.m. to 5 p.m. - Grossesse Secours kiosk
Meet the organization’s team and learn about the services and resources they offer to families.

2 p.m. to 4 p.m. - Pacte de Rue kiosk
A chance to connect with a community organization active in local social development.

7 p.m. to 9 p.m. - Line dancing with Kathy Maguire and Spaghetti Western
Put on your cowboy boots and join a fun, beginner-friendly line dancing session open to all.

All day - Game zones
Giant games and free activities for the whole family.

2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. & 3:15 p.m. to 4 p.m. - Roaming performances
Street performances will roam to delight visitors.

 

 

Friday, July 10 - Hip-hop

Musical Performances

3 p.m. to 4 p.m. - Piano public with Dave Dery
A gentle musical interlude at the heart of the Plaza on the public piano.

5 p.m. to 8 p.m. - Petite Scène: N10.AS x Arbutus
A collaboration with Arbutus Records featuring Seb Cowan b2b Devo B, Born at Midnite, and Jesse Futerman for an electronic and experimental evening.

5 p.m. to 9 p.m. - Main Stage: Love & Hip-Hop concert (live on ICI Musique)
An evening dedicated to hip-hop and R&B sounds featuring Planet Giza, Zach Zoya, Gaëlle, and Jamaz.

8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. - DJ Paws (Petite Scène)
An energetic and festive DJ set to close out the night.

Evening - MR TOURÉ at Ausgang Plaza (in partnership with ICI Musique)
Extend the musical experience with an afterparty-style performance.

A practical service to get your bike ready for the season and ride safely.

A rotating selection of local DJs providing continuous and festive music.

3 p.m. to 4 p.m. - Piano public with Emmanuelle David
An intimate musical performance highlighting the Plaza’s public piano.

5 p.m. to 8 p.m. - Petite Scène: Dance Battle by 100lux
An artistic showdown featuring dancers competing in an electrifying atmosphere.

5 p.m. to 9 p.m. - Main Stage: La Murga presents Tropi/Cale
A high-energy evening featuring salsa classes, Sonido Pesado, La Murga Ensemble, and guest DJs.

Evening - DJ ROSSY ROSS at Ausgang Plaza (in partnership with ICI Musique)
An afterparty to extend the celebration in an immersive musical atmosphere.

A creative space for children with colorful and festive face painting.

Medieval fencing workshop and demonstration in front of the Dracolite shop.

Join author Émilie Ouellette for a reading of her book *Mon pire cauchemar*, followed by a coloring activity for young and old at Raffin.

3 p.m. to 4 p.m. - Piano public with Michael Atallah
A live piano performance at the heart of the Plaza.

3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. - Aquaphonie by Toxique Trottoir (Main Stage)
A unique immersive show blending music, performance, and aquatic-inspired storytelling.

Evening - JULIO MENDY at Ausgang Plaza (in partnership with ICI Musique)
A closing performance to end the festival on a festive and unifying note.
